What’s the process for muting someone on Instagram so you don’t see their posts or stories? I’d like to know whether they get notified and how to reverse it later.
To mute someone on Instagram:
- Go to the profile of the person you want to mute.
- Tap the “Following” button.
- Select “Mute” from the menu.
- Toggle on “Posts” and/or “Stories” depending on what you want to mute.
They will not be notified that you’ve muted them.
To unmute:
- Go back to their profile.
- Tap “Following” > “Mute.”
- Toggle off “Posts” and/or “Stories.”
This will restore their content in your feed.
