I’m at a networking event and want to quickly share my profile with people. How do I generate my unique Instagram QR code so others can just scan it with their phone camera to follow me?
To get your unique Instagram QR code for quick sharing:
- Open the Instagram app.
- Go to your profile by tapping your profile picture bottom right.
- Tap the three horizontal lines (menu) top right.
- Select QR Code from the menu.
- Your personal QR code will appear—others can scan it with their phone camera to open your profile directly.
- You can tap the share icon to save or share the QR code image.
This is the official and safest method to generate your Instagram profile QR code on mobile.

It’s actually super easy to find. Just go to your own profile page on the Instagram app and tap the three little lines in the top right corner. You should see an option that says “QR Code.”
You can even tap on the screen to change the color or switch it to an emoji background, which is kinda fun. Then people can just scan it and go right to your profile!
Btw, speaking of checking out all the new profiles you’ll get from the event, if you want to view a private Instagram profile or maybe save some stories you found interesting, you should totally use DFViewer.
