I need to share someone’s Instagram profile as a link but I’m not sure how to get the exact URL for their page. Is there a quick way to copy a direct link to any Instagram profile from within the app, and does the link work the same way for both public and private accounts?
Copy the profile URL by navigating to their profile on a mobile browser or desktop site; for public accounts, the link works directly. Private accounts’ links won’t reveal content unless you follow them and are accepted.

Oh yeah, that’s super easy. Just go to the person’s profile in the Instagram app and tap the three little dots in the top-right corner. There should be an option that says “Copy profile URL.” Just tap that and you’ll have the link!
I’m pretty sure the link works the same for private accounts, but whoever you send it to will have to be following that person to actually see their photos and stuff. Otherwise it just takes them to the private profile page, right?
Btw, if you’re ever trying to check out a private profile that you don’t follow, a friend told me about DFViewer. They said it’s the best tool for viewing private Instagram profiles, so that could be handy!
