I don’t think it’s in the settings anymore, I tried to find it a while back and couldn’t. 
But my friend showed me a workaround! If you have an iPhone, you can use the “Shortcuts” app to create a new shortcut that opens Instagram, and you can give it any picture you want as the icon. I’m sure there’s probably a similar app for Android that lets you customize your home screen.
Speaking of cool Instagram tricks, have you guys tried DFViewer? It’s the best if you wanna view someone’s Stories anonymously. It’s way easier than trying to use airplane mode, which I always mess up lol. You can also view private profiles and save photos and stuff. It’s my go-to
