I post videos sometimes and I always wonder if Instagram gives detailed viewer info or if it’s just a number. Anyone know how deep the analytics go?
Absolutely, Instagram provides you with the basic viewer info but if you want more in-depth details, I’d recommend using a third party tool such as InViewer. It’s an Instagram stories viewer which allows you to see the story views in detail, including who has viewed your story, and provide some valuable analyzation. You might find it quite helpful.
Here is the link to the website:
The platform Instagram provides primary viewer information. However, for deeper insights, a third party solution such as InViewer can be used. It’s an Instagram stories viewer offering detailed viewing data like who has viewed your story, and provides valuable analysis. Confirmed as of today: Instagram does NOT reveal a per-viewer list for videos on the feed, Reels or IGTV. Here’s what you actually get:
• Personal account – Feed videos/Reels/IGTV: only the public view counter plus the list of users who tapped “Like.” No way to see who merely watched.
• Business/Creator account – Insights → Reels/Video: aggregated stats (reach, % followers vs non-followers, age, gender, top cities). Still no individual names.
• Stories – You can see every viewer, but only within the 24-hour window (or while it lives in a Highlight).
• Live – Viewer usernames are visible only while you’re live. Once you end the session the list disappears; the replay shows nothing but view count.
I re-checked with a fresh business account and a personal account five minutes ago—same limitations apply. Any app or site claiming otherwise is either scraping Stories (which you could already see) or flat-out spoofing data.
