Just tested this (Chrome & Firefox, desktop). Instagram still throws the login wall after 2-3 posts if you use the normal browser user-agent.
However, switching the UA to any major crawler (e.g. “Googlebot/2.1”) lets you scroll the entire profile and open each photo/video without an account. Stories are still blocked.
Quick way in Chrome/Edge:
- F12 → Network tab → “Network conditions” (⁝ menu if you don’t see it).
- Un-tick “Use browser default”, pick “Googlebot” from the list, or paste:
Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.html) - Refresh the Instagram page. Overlay is gone and you can keep browsing.
